This past weekend, the Department of Physician Assistants celebrated its 25th White Coat Ceremony, welcoming 100 students into its program.
Congratulations to each one of them on reaching this new milestone and receiving their very own White Coat!
Alumnus of the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley PA Program 赌博平台ally recognized.
Johns Creek, GA, March 21, 2017 – Juliana Abreu, PA-C, a certified physician assistant who graduated in 2012 from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley PA Program, was recently awarded a specialty credential called a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) from the 赌博平台al Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

– The 赌博平台 Department of Physician Assistant Studies, in the College of Health Affairs, has received approval from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education to enlarge its physician assistant master’s program over the next three years.

– The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s 52 new Physician Assistant Studies students were selected from among hundreds of top candidates, and on Friday, university officials challenged them to use what they learn to serve their communities.

Apple Distinguished Program
Apple Corporation has recognized the 赌博平台 Physician Assistant Program with its prestigious Apple Distinguished Program Award. The award is given for the 2013 - 2015 cycle. The receipt of this honor began in early 2013 with the nomination of the program by Apple Corp. representatives with knowledge of the innovative use of iPad technology in the PA curriculum. Leads on this project were Frank Ambriz, Department Chair and Elias Villarreal, Academic Coordinator. An iBook was created as part of the nomination process. The iBook highlights some of the ways the program has utilized the iPad in a variety of settings which include student on and off campus integration and faculty/staff utilization. The program continues to incorporate the iPad in groundbreaking ways.
The 赌博平台 Physician Assistant (PA) program has been recognized by Apple as an Apple Distinguished Program for the 2015-17 award cycle.
